Land Use and Development Committee Meeting

The Land Use and Development Committee endeavors to implement the development guidelines established in the
Broad Ripple Village Plan (adopted by the Department of Metropolitan Development in November 2012) and submits recommendations to the BRVA board and Department of Metropolitan Development regarding zoning and planning issues and local and state boards and commissions regarding the issuance of alcoholic beverage permits.

I. Call to order and explanation of LU&DC's position on requests (6:00 p.m.)

III. Petitioner Presentations 

A. 6537 Carrollton Avenue, David Kingen regarding the rezoning of 0.17 acres from the D-4 district to the C-1 classification and a variance of development standards and subdivision ordinance to provide for 4 parking spaces, with deficient maneuvering, 1 deficiently sized handicapped space (6 parking spaces, including handicapped spaces with adequate maneuvering required), and to provide for a freestanding sign with a six-foot front setback (15 foot front setback required). Petition #2018-CZN-863 / 2018-CVR-863 Hearing before the Metropolitan Development Commission continued from December 27, 2019 to January 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

B. 5912 Broadway Street, Nate Ward regarding dividing the property. For information only. Has not filed with DMD.
